I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Registered Drama Therapist. I received my masters in clinical psychology with an emphasis in Drama Therapy form the California Institute of Integral Studies. My background in performance and directing supports my interest in helping clients reconnect with their innate creativity.
I specialize in helping people who wish to change the quality of relationships in their lives especially the relationship to themselves. I help people who struggle with anxiety, depressed mood, food and body image issues, self-esteem and self-defeating behaviors. I am bi-lingual and bi-cultural (German) and experienced with a variety of cultural issues like first generation immigration, parenting/being parented in “adopted” culture and issues around belonging. My approach combines interactive dramatic techniques with talk therapy and elements of mindfulness. Most importantly I believe in the healing power of forming an authentic compassionate relationship with my clients.
