Do you need a place to be yourself? To be seen and fully accepted for who you are and encouraged to take leaps and risks to craft who you want to be? The fear of failure and judgments, our own and others, often holds us back from exploring the edge of our possibilities. I am passionate about creating a healing space and nurturing relationship where you can begin to practice and embody the changes you want to create in your own life.
I will support you in obtaining clarity and forward momentum around life transitions, identity issues, relationships, addictions, trauma, anxiety and health related challenges.
My approach is embedded in the belief that we all can function in the world better when we develop our creativity and spontaneity as we begin to understand our wounding and family traumas. I specialize in life transitions for all ages, for example:
- blended families
- going to college
- empty nest
- going through a divorce
- losing a loved one
- processing grief
- changing careers
I will aid you in developing your resilience, determination and resourcefulness as you learn to move through the changes in your life with greater ease. Together we will explore your intentions, focus and direction.
I also specialize in working with depression and anxiety, and children and adolescents struggling with family issues
With a rich life experience, including a career as a librarian and being a mother and grandmother I am accustomed to transforming my own life and I commit to supporting you and challenging you as you blossom into yours, always staying within the boundaries of the issues you bring and the resolutions you want to work towards.
Techniques I use are oriented towards an integration of mind, body, soul and spirit using the creative brain; play, movement, guided imagery, art, breathing and felt body senses. As a drama therapist theatre techniques, role playing, embodying parts of the self, as well as talk therapy are integral to my work.
Please contact me to schedule a free 20 minute phone session to determine if my approach is a fit for your needs.
