It can be hard to be a parent. Wonderful and rewarding, but hard. It’s especially challenging if your child is under stress, or if your family has experienced a difficult life event and you are at a loss as to how to support them. I specialize in working with kids, parents, and whole families. Kids who are struggling to survive childhood and experience trauma, loss, anxiety, depression, troubling behaviors, academic issues, or peer problems. Parents who are trying to understand and help their kids. Who are overwhelmed by divorce, the school system, single-parent difficulties, or new parent transitions.
The stress that you, or your child may face can be paralyzing. You feel stuck. You don’t know what to change or how to stop repeating the same behaviors. Through compassion and understanding, I work to create a safe space for you to explore challenges and discover new choices.
I am warm, creative, and believe that relationships and humor are crucial to healing. I have extensive experience working within schools and navigating that system. I often use play and the arts with kids, and with care and curiosity will support you in becoming the parent you want to be.
