I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families. I hold an MSW from Columbia University, and am recently a graduate of the Tamalpa Institute’s Embodied Leadership program.
My therapeutic approach is both insight and solution focused, with an emphasis in increasing coping skills, resources and awareness, decreasing symptoms, and enhancing creative problem-solving capabilities. In addition to tradition talk therapies, I use play, movement/hoop-dance and expressive arts therapies to tap into life metaphors and generate creativity.
I provide my clients a holistic approach from a Trauma-Sensitive, Strength-Based and Environmental lens, and work in conjunction with the family, school, and community. I believe as humans, no matter our age, we hold the innate capacity for change through support, creativity and our internal and external resources.
